Is anyone out there a deployed soldier?
Once in a while I see hits from Air Force bases or other military internet connections.
This weekend – because of a neighborhood holiday party – there will baking going on in this joint, and I’ve decided to make twice as much and sent the bounty and some other random “American” stuff that I tend to miss when I’m not here (Chapstick, deodorant, Combos pretzel snacks, toilet paper, etc.)- even though I’m not per se attached to someone/you being American – to a soldier serving in Afghanistan or Iraq.

Please consider doing the same. These are (usually) just kids, far far away from home and – all the war stuff aside – something friendly and homemade would probably make their day. The war stuff considered, it would probably make their month.
