Let me say – again – thank you to everyone who felt moved enough by my weepy posts to reach out in some way. You all are amazing.

More amazing is how pretty much everyone has had their own (incredibly) tough row to hoe: I am humbled by your struggles and your open-heartedness in sharing them with me. It seems like as every year draws to a close we always seem to reflect that it was hard and then hope that the next year is better.

I truly, deeply hope next year is better for all of you who took a pounding during this one.

Hell, if the Mayans are right, the whole shebang is nearly over, so at least we got that to look forward to.

Meanwhile, here is my $40 Craigslist christmas tree. One section of the lights doesn’t work, but whateves. It was cheap I set it up in the kitchen because it seemed too cramped anywhere else. Mazal tov!
