Sometimes I feel like Maui is Never-Never Land; to quote Portlandia: “where young people go to retire.”

It probably feels like nirvana to those that don’t aspire to more than having a good time.

Sadly, I am burdened by a yearning to “leave a mark.”

Thus, I find I can only participate in small doses lest I experience a gnawing dread that precious time – or more importantly my life’s purpose – may slip through my fingers.

I am starting to think I am rare in this affliction.

Oh well.
I could no sooner change who am I than sprout wings and fly.

^^^ This is something I wrote a friend in the last hour. And ’tis true.

In other news, I lost three eyelashes yesterday and made earnest, eyes-closed wishes on all three.
